South Korea has removed Chinese AI startup DeepSeek from app stores, accusing it of sharing user data with TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance. Regulators confirmed DeepSeek was communicating with ByteDance, raising serious privacy concerns.
The AI firm shook the industry in January, claiming its low-cost model could challenge U.S. competitors like ChatGPT. Now, multiple countries are investigating its data practices, while South Korea bans downloads after over a million installations.

An AI algorithm was taught to produce the lightest and strongest possible geometric structure for a nanomaterial (depending on what it was made of).
The result was a carbon nanolattice that is light enough to sit on a soap bubble without breaking it, but can also support more than a million times its own mass.
This new material could eventually have applications from lighter cars and rockets that need less fuel to medical equipment, such as prosthetics that are easier to wear.

Elon's declaration that xAI will launch a game studio represents more than just another side quest—it's a necessary correction to an industry that's lost its way. Modern gaming has transformed from an art form focused on player enjoyment into a corporate vehicle for ideological messaging. Recent AAA disappointments like Dragon Age: Veilguard and Concord prioritized identity politics over gameplay, alienating core audiences while delivering subpar experiences.
Elon's promise to "Make Games Great Again" addresses what millions of gamers have been demanding: a return to fundamentals. His approach—leveraging cutting-edge AI to create adaptive narratives and procedurally generated worlds—could deliver revolutionary experiences while sidestep... For too long, gamers have been told their preferences don't matter.
With xAI's entrance, the market will finally determine whether players want political lectures or engaging entertainment. The industry's creative renaissance may depend on it.

The first public test of Grok’s Voice Mode is here, bringing a new era of AI interaction. It can sing, laugh, and respond in real-time, with features like internet access, custom instructions, voice transcripts, and audio sharing.
Voice Mode works in the background, allowing seamless AI conversations. The first voice, "Sal," is now available—but more voices may follow.
This is just the beginning.

Sam Altman and OpenAI’s board are scrambling to block Elon—plotting "special voting rights" to shield themselves from accountability. After rejecting Elon’s $97.4B takeover offer, OpenAI is now trying to ensure its non-profit board can overrule investors—including Microsoft and SoftBank.
Why? Because Elon is exposing their real fear: OpenAI is becoming just another profit-hungry tech giant, abandoning its mission for corporate greed. They claim to be “for the public,” but the moment someone challenges their power, they rig the rules.

Protoclone, the world's first bipedal, musculoskeletal android. This robot with artificial intelligence is designed to help people, as well as for communication.
It has a muscular-skeletal structure, which includes:
- 200 degrees of freedom (like human joints);
- 1000 artificial muscle fibers;
- 500 sensors throughout the body.
The main goal of the company is to create a full-fledged android, the design of which will imitate the main biological systems of a person: the skeleton, muscles, vascular and nervous systems.
"An important milestone has been passed. We are not just making the best robots - we are creating biological mirrors that reflect and potentially surpass our own capabilities," the authors report.
This is the future of humanoid robots. Synthetic muscles.

AI has created wireless chips in hours that outperform human-designed circuits—yet even experts can’t fully explain how they work. Princeton researchers say AI-designed chips ditch traditional layouts, taking a radical approach that boosts performance beyond human capability.
But there’s a catch—some designs fail completely, similar to AI “hallucinations.” Professor Kaushik Sengupta: "The point is not to replace human designers, but to enhance productivity."
The future of chip design may be AI-driven.

Scientists just pulled off something straight out of sci-fi—decoding animal emotions using AI. A breakthrough study used machine learning to analyze vocalizations from cows, pigs, and other species, identifying emotions with 89.49% accuracy.
The research suggests that animals share universal vocal markers for feelings like stress or contentment. From revolutionizing animal welfare to reshaping conservation, this tech could finally let us understand what animals have been trying to tell us all along.
